The eBZ initiative is implemented by concrete projects, including European, national, and local research projects. The most important projects are described here.

BZ10M

The overall objective of the BZ10M project is to develop an information system that allows to perform and visualize computations on complex spatio-temporal phenomena such as time-dependent times needed for trips in the city (travel times) and time-dependent traffic jams.

eMayor

The overall objective is to develop and implement an open, secure, and affordable e-Government platform for small and medium European public organizations in order to (i) support the secure communication of municipalities amongst themselves, businesses and citizens, (ii) secure remote access and storage to repositories of municipal information for authorized civil servants and citizens, and (iii) support pan European services enhancing their role, visibility and mission.

PEOPLE

The overall objective is the implementation of a middle-ware layer for the integration and sharing of the 200 most important services offered by a typical Italian municipality. The project PEOPLE (Progetto Enti Online Portali Locali E-government) has been started by 56 Italian municipalities, which corresponds to approximately 7.5 Mill. citizens or 13% of the Italian population.
